Besides the customary dream of being a football player, all I have ever wanted is to be a writer. I believe I was 13 when I made that choice, a child of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Halo. I believe I was reading Chris d’Lacy’s story about Pottery Dragons, Polar Bears and a boy whose writing became reality, it wasn’t that a very good book, and I loved it! (Sorry Chris! / you’re welcome?)

I could do this, couldn’t I? (13 years later, the answer is yes!)

I could tell you more about how Polar Bears and Lego characters have resulted in my building a Fantasy/Sci-Fi world for the lesser part of 2 decades, but it won’t thrill you like my other works, so I think I’ll leave that story for another day.

Instead, I’ll introduce myself! I’m Danny, which is my middle name, but I prefer it. You may have deduced by now that I am a worldbuilder, writer and cartographer. I am also a fervent music lover, deep-thinker & long-distance runner; introvert and fellow weirdo.

In one very big way, this page is centred around the Universe of Escala, but (much like Escala itself), this page is also an expression of my soul. There are ways I wish to grow, as a human being and as an artist and creator. This platform is the Road, and you are joining me on it; word to Jack.
